I got a recipe for you Roger...
Take 4 or 5 fresh peaches pitted and sliced add to 13 by 9 pan.
Then take 5 or 6 pieces of bread you may remove the crust or not up to you ( I personally remove some but not all) slice the pieces of bread long wise into strips and place on top of the peaches.
Next take 1 and 1/2 cup sugar, 1 egg, 2 tbls of flour and a melted stick of butter (not too hot) mix those together and if you wish you can add some cinnamon and/or nutmeg to taste( I like both).
Pour the mixture on top of the bread and bake in a 350* oven for about 40 minutes or until bubbly.
Let me know what you think ok!!!

Oh Sis, that sounds like a wonderful recipe. Growing up My mother used to make 3 layer peach cobblers and I loved them, but I can't make them like hers, so I am always willing to try something that might recapture that taste memory.
I'll send a review when we try it out, If I can still find a few good peaches available.
thanks for sharing this recipe.

No Problem Rog!!! When My Mom made it I thought about you and how much you love peach pie/cobbler.
I bought some peaches last night and plan on making one for dessert today THAT and my world FAMOUS Lasagna!!!

I never made lasagna....but I can do a mean pot roast...

Oddly enough Mum...the first time I made a lasagna it sucked ass! That was 15 years ago or so and I swore it was too much trouble and I would never do it again. Then I changed my mind and decided to try it again and NOW I am the master of lasagna! I wasn't about to let it get the better of me. Ask Robin and Mike oh hell for that matter did you know that the very first real food Chloe got was my lasagna??? Yep she was 3/4 months old and the family was over one Sunday. We were on my front porch having Linner and Chloe was in Zach's old walker and she scooted over with this wide eyed grin. Your poor daughter looked at me like "WHAT the hell are you doing???" as I pinched off a bit for Chloe to taste. I said Robin a little taste won't hurt her....3 tablespoons later we were laughing so hard at Chloe grunting for more. Aw that is one of my favorite memories!!! I miss that turdbird!

The best thing I ever cooked was a seafood gumbo...it was a recipe from Mimi's on Bon Secour in Alabama...it took severl hours to get the roux just right..then the liquid had to simmer all day before I added the seafood ingredients...serve over rice and OMG..it was awesome..
